Max spent the start of the school year with Mom. He is anxious to start preschool on Friday and informed me today that as soon as he turns 5, he is NOT my baby anymore. We enjoyed the quiet house and played tractors, went to McDonalds (and although I called this a "date", he has made it clear that it wasn't--his exact words were, "can't we just have fun and not call it a date?"--typical male--wants the fun without the committment!), made some bars for a special after school treat, and even snuggled on the couch for a while. It was a great day by my standards!

And then there was one.............
