We spent the New Year this year in Walker, MN with friends on Leech Lake and made the most of the -15 degree temperatures. We all went sledding on an old ski hill, which we all voted the best sledding hill EVER and the kids, despite my protest, decided they didn't get enough of the cold weather and went skating at an outdoor rink. All 5 of us also got to listen to Kid Hollywood ring out 2009 in the bar, conveniently located directly below our room.
